kinetik vs optima under the hood/in the back

Redtop under the hood and the Kinetik in the back.

I believe the Kinetik's have a higher discharge rate, thus will act as a better battery bank than a redtop could.

I could be wrong, I've never researched it so I'm just going by my assumptions off of other people's posts.

so just + to + from teh red top to the kinetik

and same for the ground? - to - from the red top to the kinetik?

any fusing?

other then the one close to the redtop going to the kinetik?

after that i just wire my amps up straight from my kinetik to the amps? no fuse?

+ and -???

so no body ground? just straight from the - post to the - amp plug?

if you put the kinetik in the back you can just hit the frame/chassis for ground, no need to run it all the way up to the front batt neg unless you want to.. It wont hurt anything

oh okay

yeah thats what i was thinking.,

unless id have to run another run of neg which would ****.

hmm okay

fuses though.. thats my next question?

only one by the battery?

none after that>

not even to the amps?

You have it backwards. The redtop is a quicker discharge/starting battery while the Kinetik is a slower discharging battery that has more reserve. However, I do agree with the way you said to place the batteries, that's how I would.
