Kinetik Under Hood?

I am just about done installing my system, just gotta wire up some amps and make a rack for them, the XO's for the mids, and the distro blocks. I have an '01 Accord and I'll be doing the Big 3 but I will be leaving the stock 90A alt since I will have the vehicle for only another 5-7 months. I have a Kinetik HC 1400 currently under the hood (just dropped it in a few days ago). I was wondering if its okay to run the system just with the Kinetik or would it be wiser to leave the stock battery under the hood and have the Kinetik in the trunk with the system. Reason I ask is because someone I know had a yellow top under his hood and said it blew a cell.

It will run perfectly fine.

I have an HC2400 under my hood.

Sweet. Thanks. Would I get more out of my system if I were to use the stock battery under the hood and the Kinetik in the back? I'll be running a Treo ssx 1500.1 and an RF Punch 500a2

It's healthier to run two similar batteries (same type, around same age, etc.) although running the stock battery with the Kinetik in the trunk will work fine.

Personally, I would replace the stock battery under the hood and eventually add another Kinetik battery in the trunk (if needed).

Ok cool. As mentioned the setup is only temporary. I have no idea if my enclosure will even fit in my next vehicle and I'm not gonna bother using any sound deadening cos I dont wanna spend money which is gonna go to a waste in the long run. If I were to keep this vehicle then I would would definitely get another Kinetik and drop in an HO alt.
