Kinetik question

I got a Kinetik 600 HC free about a year ago and installed it inline on my power wire. I have a yellow top up front and running whats in my sig. I do not have a HO alt and probably not going to get one. Am I hurting my optima or electrical system by using the Kinetik like this?

BTW, I do know caps are worthless but it was free and I thought it would help.

should be A ok. its not a cap though it is a battery.
