Kinetik or Yellow top

I was on the Kinetik website and their calculator recommended two 2 x KHC1400's and one in the front. I have a yellow top in the front already. Should I just buy the two kinetiks for the rear? I will be running roughly 2500 watts.

they over exaggerate their calculator to entice you to buy more than you need. 1 1400 in the rear should be more than enough. i have 4 800's and i have 11 amps lolz

The number of amps has nothing to do with it. It's the amount of current the amps require. And no, 1 1400 in the rear would not be enough for a true 2500w.

get the 2400 kenitik and do the bige 3 if you havent yet

After box rise he will be lucky to actually see 1000 true watts on music.

1 1400 would be plenty with a stock front battery.

I have 600 amps of current draw just for my amplifiers 1 220 amp HO alt and 4 800 kinetiks and i never drop below 13.5 on music only on hard long burps.

I have 150 amp H/O alt. A Yellow Top. Big three done. All I need is the other two batteries to run the future amp or amps.

Ahh so suggesting/recommending something that will work great for a long time and is actually capable of over performing is worse than over stating a products capabilities making you think you need less only to find out you actually need more?

I have 2 Kinetik HC 2400's under my hood and I am only running about 1500W Max RMS...when I performed the Big 3 I still had some dimming issues when big bass notes hit...added the 2nd HC 2400 and voila, no more dimming. I'd suggest 1400's at a minimum.

If a yellow top is used up front shouldnt a yellow top be used in the rear? i didnt think you could mix battery types if running them in parallel (thats what i was told a while back at least.....)
