Xs has bigger slugs running through the top if I remember right also plus a lot of what has been said they got a 3yr warranty for a reason good batts

we were running 2 of the group 31 kinetiks in my buddies ride and his voltage was TERRIBLE only running less than 2400w.. We swichted them out for the Dekas and it was seriously a night and day difference.

That ma x amps I've ran the d3100 and the hc 2400 in my s10 and I was 1.5 Db louder with the d 3100 both were brand new and had close to the same voltage I think they were .1 difference

Xs power all day my buddy has had 2 for 3 years no problems perfect voltage then my other buddy has 2 hc3800's and after a year and half they where swelling on the sides and he had a good alt so that wasn't the problem....all I run Is Xs always got my highest scores with or I run deka

I guess ill just get the xs power d3100. I havent really seen anyone that has it over here, might as well be different. Lowest price Ive seen is around $359 shipped. Hopefully I can find it cheaper.

359 do u know how many g31 dekas u could get for that money..unless space is a major issue

Clamped that amp yet?? A single group 31 for that much power/current? what u rising to..Running 5k@.5 doesnt mean much just that you wired it that low when you put ur sub(s) in the box..Because ur telling me that in theory you can 10k on a pair of D3100s which is simply ludicrous
And in this case yes bigger is better. the k3800 is a more powerful battery then a d3100 period....

Send me a clamp and I sure will. 2 Sundown 2500s strapped at 1 ohm, and 100.4 on mids and highs. Gains were set using my scope. Night and day difference swapping the XS for the kinetik.

And your "theory" is completely wrong, because you are not taking into account alternator and starting battery. You can go to the XS site, and look at the wattage charge for the D3100 rated 5k as secondary battery. The Kinetik 3800 is rated for 3800 watts go figure.

Just because it is bigger, does not mean it is necessarily better. We can agree to disagree. I'm running 5k @ .5 with 1 D3100 in trunk and my voltage is never below 14. When I had a kinetik 2400 I was consistently in the upper 12s, low 13s.

I run xs and believe they're some of the best batts out there, but I don't believe this at all

If not mounting in the engine bay, you may be able to get the XP3000, similar to the D3100 except it can only be used as a secondary battery. Costs a bit less too.

My full electrical consists of EA 300 amp alt (clamped 330 hot-quoted from Nate), and an Odyssey group 34 under hood, 2 runs 1/0 pos 2 runs 1/0 neg. Only thing that was changed was going from Kinetik to XS in the trunk.

i got 2 d3100's in my garage im abotu to repalce m d3400s with so you wont be the only one

The D3100 is able to discharge more power at once (look at the difference in the contact area on the terminal pads). Big surface on the XS's, tiny little pads on the Kinetik's.

The 3800 has a longer reserve though.

AudioAnonymous (Geoff Cayemberg) had a setup a few years ago with with (8) CS 5kw's running off of two CS9000 batts.

5k max would mean you could run 1 xs 3100d on 8 5k amps on burps and be fine, no single battery will be able to do that, there numbers seem a little inflated to me...

They also use larger connections internally (across the tops of the plates) than most companies...

I've not seen a Kinetik cut open to compare - but I'd almost bet money the Kinetik is going to have substantially less contact area across the plates.
