And in each video he says that the XS is 10 lbs heavier. The 2400 is 10 lbs lighter than the xs 3100, and the 3800 is 10 lbs heavier.Yea looks kinda small to be a 3800
Im thinking thats why xs is coming out with there version of the 130-140ah batt like the 3800 is...because for the price people where able to get the 3800 for around same price or cheaper then the 3100And in each video he says that the XS is 10 lbs heavier. The 2400 is 10 lbs lighter than the xs 3100, and the 3800 is 10 lbs heavier.
I have always seen that kinetik uses recycled lead, yet I have never seen this confirmed...One reason the XS power is better is because it uses virgin lead rather than recycled lead like the kinetic. The kinetic battery in the video is indeed their group 31 battery not the 3800. The 5000 amp rating is basically a short circuit reading.
Agreed.I have always seen that kinetik uses recycled lead, yet I have never seen this confirmed...
As far as what the OP asked its not a far comparison, the 3800 is bigger and heavier, which means more surface area, which has more lead which means more power, simple
Now im sure the 3100 vs a K2400 the 3100 would win hands down...But not against the 3800
EXACTLY.....I did a build over the summer with 14 D3100's and 2 390xps. Not impressed by those batts at all as voltage is less then stellar...IMO XS is overpriced for what they are, I have never seen the price difference worth of performance over any other battery..
Clamped that amp yet?? A single group 31 for that much power/current? what u rising to..Running 5k@.5 doesnt mean much just that you wired it that low when you put ur sub(s) in the box..Because ur telling me that in theory you can 10k on a pair of D3100s which is simply ludicrousJust because it is bigger, does not mean it is necessarily better. We can agree to disagree. I'm running 5k @ .5 with 1 D3100 in trunk and my voltage is never below 14. When I had a kinetik 2400 I was consistently in the upper 12s, low 13s.
99% of the time, when someone tells you the swapped this for that, they changed something else as well, and as we all know, if you move ur seat a certain angle, or sneeze before you meter.. or have a gym bag in ur car before you meter the score will change..Hmm, this is a tough one. Ive read up a bit and found that a couple of people have gained going from the hc3800's to the d3100's on the meter.
