How long do you think Kinetik HC Power Cells Batteries can sit without being used??

I have a 800 and 1800 thats been sitting for quite a long time, from what I got out of the game. Getting back into it and curious to see if I should even attempt to use these, obviously I would need to charge them up. Think they will hold a charge?

do you need a special charger for agm batteries???
they say to use a charger that charges at 14.4v like the ctek ones, but i use my cheapo charger all the time, everything is working fine. (still recommend the ctek, or a smart charger like them.)

My HC2000 sat in my shed for 8 months before i installed it. Was still sitting at 12.8-12.9 and works perfect. How long is a while?
Probably about - 16 months. Give or take. Both sitting on a wooden desk in the garage.

i would look at the resting voltage and if its under 11v the batt's prolly no good but otherwise a slow charge should bring it back to life if above 11v. my last batts i had in my truck sat in a military warehouse since 07 i picked them up mid 2011 and they sit at a constant 13v after having them in my truck for a month

Charge them with a good charger before installation depending how the battery was stored temps and resting voltage at time of storage will be a variable. When a battery discharges is sulfates and if left sulfated it can make the battery slow to recharge or not recharge at all because it can crystalize if not recharged. If an alternator gets a low sulfated battery it can cause it to go thermal and ruin the battery. This is why having a good safe regulated intelligent charger is important. I know tons of people seen side effects from this and just think its a junk battery when infact its from neglecting to check. There is NOTHING on an alternator that will tell you your battery is charged and when you check to see if it is you cant do it with the car on. The car needs to be off for a couple hours and measured with the car off. If you ever seen a corroded flooded non sealed battery you are witnessing this first hand. If a battery doesnt recharge in a correct fashion an alt can cause it to get hot. This is why u shouldnt allow your batteries to rest low especilly when being used in a car. If you have a low battery recharge it with the proper charger, especially if you do not know how long it might have been low.
