kinetik and Batcap nuthuggers, what should I buy?!

Not a ground pounder, I only run 1.4k daily.

Have a higher wattage system I throw in right before a few local shows.

I'm not a expert by any means, but I've heard many of times a alt is not entirely needed for 1.4k daily.

Batteries would help however.

Need the batteries for burps anywho.

I don't think that 2 deka batteries will support 5-6k even for 30 seconds. I see a lot of voltage drop in your future.
You must of had a crystal ball to see that comin'

Who would of thought 6k can't be run off two Dekas.. magic

Good thing I don't burp for 30 seconds.

You can not base what your electrical needs are on what others have had success or failures with. Each application is 100% different and needs to be treated as such. While one car may be able to run 2k on stock electrical with no issues another car may need an alt and/or more batteries for the exact same amp. Simply to many variables out there.

While you may recommend one a new alternator right away, each application is different and needs more information to correctly determine proper electrical.

How can you assume I need a new alternator if your all about each case is it's own situation.

If you are already having voltage issues, and your alternator can not keep up what will happen when you add a larger load by adding batteries? The alternator still can not keep up.

It doesn't have to keep up for 5 second burps, does it?
There is far more to it then that.

You said your lights were dimming which tells us you have a few possible issues.

1. Bad grounds

2. Need to do the big 3

3. Your alt is simply to weak to keep up with daily music.

If you are in number 3 then you are only harming the alternator more by asking it to keep more batteries charged up. If you do some quick searching on google you will find some very nice right ups on this topic that should shed some light on the subject with out getting crazy into detail here. (I'm on my phone so typing *****).

If you are only wanting them for "burps" then I don't suggest the Deka at all. You need to spend the money on a battery that will give the power you need for the burp and quickly. UPS batteries are not designed for that kind of application.

Woah, that's quiet the article you wrote up for being on your phone, good work. Have big 3 [0/1] and all my grounds meter at 0.00

You could probably add clipping as a possibility to that list.

Although I have yet to set my gains with a... DDM? DMM? Whatever it is, my bass EQ down all the way gain is little under half, tried listening for when 40hz sounded different, who knows.
