I take a common sense approach to this entire thing. I will say this though and I quote " I will do away with the Pell Grant for higher education".
Do you know what that means to someone like me who cant afford to pay the entire tuition and books and fees?? That means that i dont have the option. And that my friend has jackk-shitt to do with congress. They didnt say that , Romney did.

I can really care less who wins, but you all blame Obama, when that facts remain that it was a bad situation that he started out in the first place.

For whoever said that hes a "mouthpiece for congress". thats partly true. It depends on a whole lot more than prez and congress, im just stating that romneys policies that he said he agrees with

I just listen to the words they say, nothing more.

what about your GI bill? doent the pell grant have a relatively low annual payout? and yes ive graduated college so i know how expensive it is so i know every little bit helps.

also the price of college tuition has more than doubled under obama most people didn't need that 5 years ago when i graduated. and besides if you haven't even graduated high school please do not talk politics.

I can feel your pain about the pell grant thing, but thinking it means you will never have a chance going to school without it is defeatism at its finest. You don't need a college education to get a job, will it be a good job? probably not but you can get a job and manage your're money and PAY FOR COLLEGE YOURSELF. Voting for a president who is a miserable failure at better our economy and strengthening America because Romney wants to take away pell grants is ridiculous. Pell grants are a small price to pay for a stronger economy and job market and the ability to succeed with that degree you want.

yea GI bill is good and all, but what about eh others that may even depend on the pell grants?? They will have less options on the table than we had as service members

true. i only applied it to you because you referenced it as an option fo ryourself in the original posting of the pell grant statement.

but why should i pay for others to go to school? perhaps starting out at a local 2 year school and then transferring out would be a way for people to keep costs down.

look for an employeer who helps cover tuition also. lots of older people were in school when i was too.

i dont really care what color the president is but this one hasnt done much. just saw an article in the washington times the other day about how there is a significanly higher amount of people on welfare now than there was when he took over office. how is that better? he's spent more in 4 years than bush did in 8. how is that better? he claims ending iraq and eventually afghanistan yet voting history tells other story. he's wasted billions of federal dollars on "green projects" that were wasted.

i dont know if romney will be better, probably not, but only time will tell. personally id like to get them all out of office and start over fresh. but then im sure our economy and govt would collapse as its so convoluted and dirty that new people would have no way to get anything done.

Seems like an agree to disagree situation. By agreeing to my statement you are saying BOTH sides are f'ed up. I don't under stand why everyone keeps harping on obamas race. Are we gonna blame Bush in twenty years still? I've presented facts about Obama. No one has presented facts disputing them. At least Romney has proven to get legislation done in a bi partisan manner as a Republican in Massachusetts
