kinda dissapointed in these RE8's

i have some on the way, but already have two. so i decides to make a box and try them out. the box is .67 cu. feet for two of them. sealed. and they just dont seem to get loud at all. my single 12" shallow mount was louder. any ideas? too little of box? i hope adding the other two will make it louder.

Sealed is the problem... They can get loud ported for what they are.

and they really need to be skinny. the 8's are almost touching the back of box. and the rockford 12" i had barely fit wich was only 3.65 in. so i dont have much to choose from

sounds like a good idea. any experience porting wedges? ive asked before, and the way i understand is that the port needs to get behind the woofer?

Sell the RE's, and find a good shallow mount sub.
