This is probablly a really dumb question some people may think but i was curious. My dad knows this carpet guy so he gave me some like insulation they use they lay it down before the put the carpet down its real thick and like all multi colored was wondering if that would work in my doors for sound insulation like as it were dynamat or fattmat?

I woudn't put that in my doors due to the fact it will soak up moisture and retain it.
