Kickpanels with 5.25" components or...?!?!!

I have the vehicle in my sig, and as some of you may have noticed, I'm in the process of upgrading my stereo.....I've got an XXX12 and an eD nine.1 already with some MDF waiting.

BUT, that's not what this thread is about. Q-Logic makes some Q-Form kickpanels for my truck. I found some for sale for $50. They take 5.25" components.

So my question is this: Would I be better off going with some primo 5.25" components in these kickpanels with some added dynamat or polyfill, or should I just go with some 6.5" components in the doors???? You guys should also know that my doors can only take speakers about 2" deep, maybe a little more. I'm not positive on the max mounting depth of the kickpanels. Doors would be eDead-ed.

I'm lost now. No, I'm not going to make or have made some custom 6.5" kicks.

SO.....5.25" components in kicks with polyfill or 2" deep max 6.5 inchers in edead-ed doors?

Either way, I'm going to spend ~250 on the speakers, so they're gonna be pretty nice.

u sure u couldnt find 6.5" kickpanels? cuz i just bought some q-forms for my tacoma and the mounting depth is 3 inches. i'm actually switching from edead doors to kicks cuz i bought new speakers and they were too deep for the doors. u could do the doors if u used spacers.

Well I just checked on the Q-Logic site, and I can fit up to 6-1/8" frame width speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Any speaker suggestions for under 300 bucks???

thanks guys

there site says that, but my 5.25 barely fit in my kicks. i decided to go with a 3-way system, and have 4" midranges in kicks along with tweets, and 6.5's in the doors. are you sure you can't fit bigger 6.5's with a spacer? the dls comps i have for sale have a shallow mounting depth. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

did u ever try putting ur ID's in the kicks? cuz i'm gonna try doing that when they come in and if they dont fit... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif and yes, dls is really good with their mounting depths.
