U said your subwoofer were sitting for acouple months. Did u use voice coil lubricate before installing them? After subwoofers sit for awhile you need to Lubricate the voice coil other wise you hear noises

Muriatic acid works the best to dissolve the corrosion from the coils. Fill a 5gal bucket and dunk the sub in for 30sec then remove it and free air it till its dry.

Ah....the coils need to be seasoned. Good point. I completely forgot about that.
