Kickers L7 15's or RE SX 15's

SX over the kicker. Cant comment on the sonic, never heard one. I dont think many people on this board have, but those who have seem to really like them.

I have a 12 SX and I have heard many 12 L7's... even tho you are asking about the 15's.... And no joke my SX will stay with an L7 all day long in SPL and sound way better... I vote SX's

L7. i have never heard any RE subs, go figure. but i have the l5 in 15" and that sub slams like crazy already. could only imagine what the L7 can/will do.

hmm carpenter...seems around 80% is going with the same choice as mine....
so, you had a 50/50 choice...does this make your choice superior?
Listening to someone elses system and making a 'logical' choice, IMHO is not recommended...because each system setup, and how it is installed plays an important role. So what sounds good to me, may not to you, or anyone else. So if you sit in my Tahoe, you may come to a seperate conclusion than what sounds good to me.

I'd vote L7's.

listened to does not equal worked with...i never said i WORKED WITH them, but that i've heard them. is that not sufficient enough for me to say that i can compare them?
Actually no, it's not. When you "compare" subs like that, you aren't actually comparing the subs themselves at all.....but rather comparing the setup/install/tuning/enviornment. The subs are the least important thing in that equation...and they are definitely not what you are comparing. Box size and type, power, vehicle, bass boost settings, gain settings, front stage, the vehicle itself, etc etc are all going to play a MAJOR role in how the sub "sounds". You can take the same sub, change those variables I just listed, and make it sound completely different each time.

So no....hearing the sub in different setups doesn't give you the knowledge to make an educated comparison of the subs themselves //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I vote for the SX. I've never heard one and appologise, but i've heard 1 15"inch xxx come close to comparing to two 12" inch L7's. Either way your setup would be loud. L7's sound like continous farting too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif , go with RE.
