Kicker zx750.1 pulsating protection!! HHEELLLLPP

WTF my zx 750.1 took a dump for no reason. When I hook it up and turn the car on it just goes in to like a pulsating protection mode. Im thinking that it has to be an internal problem because I can unhook that amp and hook up my Audiobahn 750 2 channel amp and it works perfect. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be???

what do you have the subs wired to and also how did you set your gain?

If you're running it below two ohms, its going to do this everytime.

what voice coil configuration? Dual 2, Dual 4?

If you have it wired down to 1ohm, yes. Kicker amps are only stable above 2Ω. Running it at 1Ω will pulsate protect just as you are explaining it. OP, In case your wondering why the AudioBahn is working, it is likely that amp is 1ohm stable while the Kicker is not.

i ran my kicker zx1500.1 at 1 ohm for a couple months and it DID NOT go into protect once and didnt even get hot.

it is still running perfect a year later although im running it at 2 ohms now
