Kicker ZX1000.1 or Hifonics BXi 1606D

may i ask why?

give advice but dont say something you truly dont know. hifonics amps arent that clean especially compared to a kicker. its ok we all make mistakes lol. god knows how many ive made:crap:

and why do you say that

maybe i havent worked with that exact hifonics amp but in my experience they have **** good sound

but then again i have friends that can afford the more expensive stuff

if you can get your hands on any both of these amps, test them and you will see why we say this. ive owned a bx1500d and a kicker 800.1 and the kicker was way better in the clean department and it gave plenty of power

i just know that everybody likes a different sound and we will disagree most of the time

we all like to voice our opinions, so how can you say one is better than the other when we like something else

well your talking about a collosus amp totaly different from the bx line. totaly differant league of amps

That hifonics 1606 might actually give you a couple hundred more watts of power. If the kicker is rated at 1000w x1 @1ohm, and the Hifonics 1606 is rated at 1500w x1 @1ohm (prolly gonna put out like 1350-1400w, but ive actually heard the new hifonics stuff puts out what its rated for a change.) then youre going to get more power off the hifonics.

The new hifonics stuff isnt supposed to be too bad, i dont mind the sound of hifonics amps but ive only heard the old line, the new line is better.

I'd go with whatever is cheapest if youre low on cash. I'm not a big fan of kicker amps put i trust the company and theyre def gonna put out what theyre rated at and do a good job doing it.

Not really much of a sound difference, if any. My BX2200D rated around 2k @ 1 ohm sounded just the same as my XX-Colossus rated around 2k @ 4 ohms. I used the same sub/s and enclosures. They both put up the same numbers on the TL too. To stay on topic, I would get either. If you get 1300-1400 watts out the kicker and get, for arguments sake, 1400-1500 watts from the Hifonics, power wise, no difference by ear. Now processing and sq of the different brands may be a different story. Auditioning them would be the best way to go.

If your talking about the 07 lines when they came out? Ive always heard BX an BXi were overrated
