how good are these amps. do they have any issues with them. i heard some people say there zx cuts off for no reason. are they efficent. how do they compair to other amps in the same price range like the saz1500d. thanks for any input

if they shut off for no reason, well, there IS a reason....the SX1250 has all the digital processing over other amps, which have a few settings, the DSP function on the SX wil do about anything, any 30 bang external EQ can do...

I just picked up an sx1250 and can't wait to try it out. Luckily sub won't be goin in the truck for a few weeks, so I have some time to read up on all the DSP functions. Might have to go lookin for an SXRC too just for the fun factor of tweakin from the front seat.

Best amp hands down function/power for its size! I just got a DD Z1a and I love it, the only amp that could take the place of my SX1250's! I wished all amps had that level of DSP, world would be a perfect place! BTW ZX's shut off because they don't have active cooling like the SX, KX amps. Hey if anyone is looking for an SX I have one I am looking to get $250+actual shipping/pp fees. I don't have the remote or end caps but honestly it is so much better looking and smaller without them. Polo..

if it was a month down the road I'd buy this one off you too...haha

i haven't had any problems with my zx1500.1 at all. My friend even ran his at 1 ohms with no issues. I think people try to run them at 1 ohm and without a good electrical, it may go into protect. The sx1250.1 is a great amp. imho you don't need a dsp for subs, so i would choose the zx1500.1 if thats an option.

I thought the sx1250 would be nice for a sealed sub, you can boost the super low end to try and flatten the curve out down low like a linkwitz setup (or whatever its called/spelled). Aslong as the driver can take it and you have enough power overhead of course.
