kicker subs

I'm lookin at buyin a pair of of Kicker 06CVX12's.

Which would you suggest, the 2 ohm or the 4 ohm model?

What would be a good amp for them?

Lookin to spend no more than $400 on an amp.

I'm leaning towards the 2 ohm's powered by the kicker 06ZX1000.1?

How would that sound?

if you can afford the kicker SX 1250.1 amp to power them, go with that. Thats what i have in the back of my jeep, bumps hella hard for 12" subs.

the kicker 1000.1 amp is not enough power for the 2 CVX's.

most 1000.1 will do roughly 1150-1250 watts, very similar to the SX1250 without the DSP processing.

I would go with at least a 1500.1 and wire those dual 2's to 2 ohms.

agreed on the 1500.1. you can find one for under 3 bills and they will do a lil more than RMS on the subs.

Cvxs are awesome

i have 2 and i had them on 800 rms and they suprised me to be on that low of wattage

but if i was u i would the the dual 2 ohm subs and wire them to 2 ohm and get a 1500.1
