Kicker SOLOX 18"

hey yall i was looking at some subs and was wondering how the kicker SOLOX 18" would compare to the LMS5400 from the stats and everything it looks as though it would blow it out of the water but i figured id try to get a more knowledgable opinion on this topic

never heard an LMS 5400 but I'm pretty sure, given the power and right enclosure the kicker would DESTROY the TC

Two totally different subs. A somewhat better comparison would be Solo-X vs. TC-5200.

But to your original question, I would go with the LMS-5400 for lasting quality and pure SPL AND SQ enjoyment.

Well what are you trying to do in your application?

Ive never heard a TC before but im sureeee itll sound 100x better than a SoloX....its not the most accurate sub ive ever heard...may have been the install but still...i wasnt impressed

no I agree 10000% that TC's decision in using alumnium cones is retarded. I told them 1.5 million times not to use that shit, but as you can see they listen real well. But thats ok, i'll be laughing at all the people with "my TC sub's cone warped" threads 6 months from now.

or.. my tcsubs cone broke. again. hey all.. it looks like this-

also- they have had problems on the cone/coil connection with the alum. cones.. (where the coil comes off of the cone and slams into it repeatedly
