Are you referring to a recone or is the voice coil actually damaged? Either way you're probably better off getting a new woofer.

Its the voicecoils. had them replaced twice already until i realised its the faulty amp. had that fixed as well. anyway the L7's are pretty expensive here hence the repair option but i would like to fix it myself this time around if possible. otherwise i will consider another woofer.

What are the coils doing? Are you sure your amp is damaging them? Or do you have your gains set too high and are clipping the hell out your subs and they are getting damaged?

gains are correctly set. the amp had a transistor or cap the wrong way around.

the coils got too hot and fused.
