kicker solobaric or alpine type x

I currently have one 12" alpine type x in a ported box being ran by a directed 1100d in my car i am thinking of switching to a 12" solobaric l7 and i was wondering if anyone would know witch one would be louder?

I have heard the the type x only in car audio shops. I have yet to hear them in a car. THey are suppose to be great woofer. I mean i have heard the type Rs and they are sick.

But if u want to louder just give us some info in ur box size and the car that it is in.

my box is L 22" W 12" H 15 1/2" and it is in my 2000 honda civic coupe

depends, if sub X can 'handle more' doesn't mean it will be louder, just because it can...it will need more power, than the other driver, to be louder.

i know the box is to small for the l7 because its a custom box bult by abt for the type x but if i got the l7 i would get a custom box for that also so witch one do u think has more potential of being loud
