uh rockford t1001bd, zx 1500 or a refurb kx 1200. depends on your ohm load really.

That amp will do i thats all you have. But that sub runs better with 1000 wats per driver. Its just dependen on how hard you want to hit.

I would never buy a square subwoofer. A sound note is normally circular. A square subwoofer produced an awkward sound note, which just gives you distortion.

they win because they are patented so that only they can have square/distortional subwoofers, so of course they are going to win because they have no competition for that class

oh, and I ran an L7 for a year. Very loud, and pretty clean... moreso than people give it credit for. Takes power like a champ, and is good for SPL.
