Kicker Shallow-Designed Enclosed Subwoofers

Friend of mine purchased two Kicker 12" Dual-4ohm CompVR's and enclosed them in a this enclosure.

Great sound from these subwoofers even though they are being powered by a 1200w Sony Xplode Amplifier. But obviously car and SUV drivers have alot more options for their subwoofer selection compared to single-cab truck owners who are looking to also get a system that hits well. So as the owner of a single-cab Ford F150 Iwas looking at the above system(Kicker CompVT's) and I was wondering how well those subwoofers sound and hit with their smaller design compared to my friend's system.

I really do not feel like messing around with my own construction of a enclosure. Also how well would this amplifier power them?

That's WAY more power than you need...

I'd recommend ~800rms for the pair.

The sound surprisingly great, I was skeptical about them at first, but I'd installed two different setups with 2 12" CompVT's... and they banged.

One was in a conversion van, huge one, and the pair of 12's filled the cabin and sounded great.

So, go with around 2 12's... and 800rms... and you'll be set.

My opinion > all.

Would it be safe to assume that if I created a box with:

10 Inches Width

26 Inches Height

55 Inches Length

About

8.21 Cubic Feet would be able to possibly supply three 12 Inch Kicker CompVT Subwoofer requiring between 1.0-4.6 cubic feet space in a sealed box enough air to hit as hard as they are meant to.

Ugh, finding a decent bass solution for a single-cab truck is difficult.

cvts are the best shallow mounts i've gotten to listen too. great little subs, a tad deeper then most shallow mounts, but they handle more power then most as well.

they'll work in smaller sealed boxes as well. .75-1cube is all that's need for a 12.

well worth the money for an install short on space.

So you believe that two 12" CompVT's could deal the same amount of bass and sound as two 12" CompVR's?
