Kicker Setup

hey guys i just ordered my kicker l7 in a kicker made proted box with around 1.80 cubic feet or so and it will be running off a zx1000.1 at 2 ohms so 1000 watts rms and the deck im using will be a pioneer deh 5900 just wondering if i will need to turn down the bass and wondering if you guys have tips on what the settings should be at? thanks, jeremy

the L7 would sound louder with a bigger box.

nonetheless, the sub will "pound" very nice with the ~1000 + watts it is going to be seeing. i would suggest upgrading your front stage a sap.

ya i no i really want a bigger box and ill get 1 but ill have to get a custom made 1 later down the road because there isnt and room in the back im already havin to take the spare tire out lol! ya i will upgrade the front speakers but for now just wanted to get the big purchases like the deck amp and sub

what kid of car do you have that u have to take the spare tire out to fit a 1.8 ^3 ft box ?!

its a 1991 mustang hatchback! the problem is that the height in back is like 14 inches but it gets smaller as you it goes bak becuase the trunk slants right!

ah, got ya.

im sure with a custom box it would be able to fit a much larger one
