I was considering either purchasing a set of kicker solobaric s15l5's or s12l7's.

as far as i can tell from kickers website they are pretty similar as far as peak and rms power, sensitivity, and frequency response. the power for both is 1500 peak and 750 rms. sensitivity (db 1w/1m) for the l7s are 88.6 and the l5s are 90.3.

the frequency for the l7s are 20-100 hz whereas the l5s are 18-100hz.

Please please someone enlighten me with the best choice.

Thanks

Power is not an issue. I will buy the amp after i get the subs. As far as the box i have a 2006 dodge charger so i have a decent amount of space. However i do not want to have more than 2 subs total. I also want to put in an amp rack at some point

Go for the L7's then, if you're set on solo barics. If you want real SQ, then look elsewhere. CVX's if you want kicker

Ultimately i am going for sound quality but i want it to really hit those bass notes. i usually listen to music with lots of heavy heavy bass so i need a large range of hz. I know kicker solobarics REALLY pound so thats why i want them. Alpine type-r's are also good subs but is not really what i am looking for. I will gladly accept any knowledgable answer about the subject, but leave the stupidity at the door. it justs wastes peoples time...

I dont get it. the cvx subs have a smaller frequency range. is that good or bad. I just want to be able to play my stereo louder and have clear crispy bass. i am not entering any competitions so i dont care about db or spl or anything. i t is just for personal entertainment.

the CVX's will play plenty low enough, I have many choices, and am doing three CVX 12's, sealed now, do 1.25 per drievr. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

eh, I've got a 15" L7 in 4.5cf @ 34hz. That's been my personal experience- It's crazy loud, but pretty fuzzy. I have dedicated midbasses to sharpen it up a bit, though.
