kicker L7's or FI BL's

I am going to be running these off 2 Zx 2500.1

... Would u rather have 4 15" Bl's or 4 15" L7's running off 2 zx 2500.1?

Why?

... i will have a suffiecient electrical to back these up and am looking for 65% spl 35% sq

The Bls. Simply for the reason that if you screw them up and blow them all you have to do is ask Fi to recone them. Its a lot cheaper than replacing a Kicker L7 completely. Also you can add options to the Bls to make them better if you want to pay for it. Plus I don't really like the square look.

IF someone blows a woofer, Fi, RE, T3, Kicker, JL, whatever, you still have to pay to ship that heavy woofer back, pay for a recone, and sometimes pay freight back. hence, adding MORE cost. But if you but a woofer, RF, Kicker, JL, AA, whatever, from your LOCAL dealer, you can drive back to his store, and get a new one right then, no added cost.

2 2500.1s is 5000 watts rms total spread over 4 woofers. The amps are under rated. Id expect it to be more close to 5500 watts then 5000 total rms. So thats about 1400 watts per sub...which is a whole 40% over the rated rms per woofer.

However, Id go for the kickers. Much more air moving with those. (See avatar for comparison square v circle)

Not if you just have them ship you out a recone and you do it yourself. But I'm not sure if Fi does that or not, I don't own any Fi stuff. Guess I'll find out if my friend blows his Q. I'm not against Kicker or anything, I have a ZX2500.1 and it runs like a champ. He just asked my personal preference, which would be a Bl over an L7.

not everyone, knows how to recone a sub.........that is, even if Scott sends out recones just to anyone.

the L7's would yield more cone area. I would think that it would be all in the install.

Dont forget that your not going to get 5k outta 2 amps, real world power might

surprise you. gotta clamp em to find out. birth sheets may look nice, but in my

opinion do not mean to much.
