L7 will hit harder. And get a Nasty big amp for it. Memphis 1000D, BD 1500. Something nice and big and it will make killer noise.

if you are looking for a pair a memphis mojo would be tight for either the l5 or l7

i dont know if i would say alot... i have a friend with 2 l7 15's in a dodge avenger with 2 rockford 500's =149.2 db not that i am saying anything but i should be right about there if not over that....the l5 handles 75% of the power, l5 is more eff. and has a whopping .04" less in xmax. course it has a stamped basket and no titanium coated cone but from past expirience i never bent a basket nor do i run my system to create cone flex.(l5 has one of the most rigid cones i have seen anyways)...in other words the l5 is still a very impressive woofer sans the cast basket. the avenger has a small sized sealed box that he made to fit his car it is about 4 cft. some might say his #'s are low but it is set up well enough to say that he has to turn it almost entirely all the way up before it even hints to distorting and of course it is a trunk loaded car. also from what we read the bd 500s put out 700-800 watts reactive into a 2 ohm load

well from what i know about my L7's i would say they are the best bet i am now sponsored and im fixing to run 2000 watts to each one so if you are looking for killer bass and bit trophies go with the L7's i hit a 165.3 db 1st comp i went to so if that tells you anything

a digital designs 15 did 171 all by itself...i know kicker holds the "record" but i still think the 1 15" is alot more impressive

how many watts were hooked to that one 15 I had 1000 hooked to both my speakers which breaks it down to 500 a sub and hit 165.3 so you tell me but also you tell me who owns that one 15 and tell me what kind of enclosure they have it in and all the goods and ill tell ya how they did it ill kill that 165 when i hook 2000 watts to each speaker well that is all thank you for your attention good-bye

welp if you compete and you are good enough to be sponsered by kicker then you should already know...most competitors are a close nit unit...at least to who does well and who dont. look at wayne harris's page its there....do you know who chris norris is?

no you see im not sponsered by people you think im sponsored by im sponsored by local stores and people who want to sponsor me i havent competed yet i just know a guy at the local car audio store also known as Gaylord'd audio who has an SPL meter and he let me make a run with it so i ran it there and got a 165.3 and decided to get some sponsers and get my shit hittin harder than anyones on this **** webpage allright man

165.3 with 500 watts to each woofer? lol the 1 15" had 4400 watts going to it lol again what scale did you have the meter? hell in my old escort i did a 153 with the meter set wrong lol and in reallity it did a 137 but back then that was loud
