Kicker L7 Cutout?

It says the cutout for a 12" is 11 3/16". So does that mean about 5.5ish inches left, right, top and bottom, from a center point? If you get what I am saying? And would 2.5 cu. ft. @ 32 be to small for a 15" L7?

Box is way too small for a ported L7 15". And juss measure 11 3/16 4 ways lol.

^ ditto... thats a decent box for a L7 12", but you'd benefit from having more like 4 cubes.

its unreal how much more airspace it takes for a 15 over a 12.
