i always read posts about how great the L7 is but i want to know if the L5 is as good as his partner and if it can make good numbers.

i wonder what a ported l5 could do against a ported rl-p. dunno, but the l5 might have better output.

but about that polecat.. why doesnt kicker raise the power handling some more on the L7s to have a little bigger gap between models? the L5s and L7s are too simialr IMO. the local kicker shop sells every line but L5s.. guy told me it was because people never bought them cause they would either go with the comp for entry, the Vr for mid level or the L7 for higher level bass.. the L5 was just kinda a half step between the VR and L7..

dont knwo if that made any sense.. and i know kicker is changing somethin abotu their lineup so maybe this is irrelevant anyways

well, IMHO the L7 is indeed underrated, as I have 2500 watts going to mine now, but what happens is you have people start doing 2500 to it if you rate them at 2000, etc...now max power between the L7 and L5 is 300 watts, or 600 total.
