Hello people! Thought I'd share with you guys how I fixed my Kicker L5s. I bought them from a dude who clearly had no clue about car audio (my mistake) and the surrounds came loose on BOTH of them. One had already been repaired (BUT THE F*CKING RETARD USED WOOD GLUE) and the second still had its original glue. I assumed they were just blown until I looked a little bit closer. I was wrong, the surround and completely separated from the basket and was only being held on by the faceplate. After using a screwdriver to pop the faceplate off (don't be afraid to use force, you'll need it - but be careful not to put the screwdriver through the surround). Then lift the faceplate off and it will expose the surround. Carefully peel it away from the basket. Clean all excess glue. Take note of the positioning of the rubber as you'll want to put it back exactly (gluing one part at a time helps, i.e. one side). Then liberally apply your glue to the basket and stick the surround back on. Let that dry. Now, use a stronger epoxy (I used PVC Cement) and put tat on around the surround (not on it, around it where the basket is exposed at the edge of the rubber). Again, be liberal, you can always scrape excess off, and you want it to stay on tight.
