Which of these amps would you choose and why?

I'm just now getting back into car audio after a 10-year absense. I'm looking for a good 1200w RMS Mono amp. I'm leaning toward the Kicker right now, but I'm still considering the Orion. The Kicker can be had for approximately $380.00 shipped and the Orion for a little less. I'm leaning toward the Kicker because I've read that the "Birth Certificates" show that they have outputs beyond the rated 1200w RMS.

What are your thoughts?

i've seen a lot of birth sheets on the kickers go for over 1500 watts rms. the orions are also underrated and put out rated power at 13.8 volts. go with the cheapest one, or the one with the best warranty.

Those kicker amps are beasts. And there warrenties are freaking amazing. I own 2 1250.1 kicker amps and had ALIL problem with one of them and kicker took back BOTH OF THEM and replaced them NO questions asked.

kicker amps, especially the 1200, are some beasts. I really like kicker amps. Even though its a well known company and everyone knows what kicker is, they are still worth getting. I doubt the orion is any better than the kx1200. Im pretty sure that you will have to be careful with the gain knob because these things will easily power the sub that you will be pushing.

What is the SSF switched to when you turn it on? I noticed that it isnt adjustable...
