kicker kx 300.4 causing engine noise

Iv had my 300.4 for 4 years and have never been able to get rid of the engine noise. I was staying in an apartment so I had a shop install it in my truck instead of my car. They tied a ground loop isolator and it made it owrse.l They swapped out the kicker with an alpine and the noise went away. They have the sub rca on the same side as the power wire. I asked them to swaop sides and they tried to charge me for it since the noise went away with the apline. Would moving the rcas and trying to reground it work or should I just look at a new amp?

yeah ive had a feeling for a while that it was the amp but polecat said kicker hasnt had any noise to signal problems. Ill probally look into the new zx series amps

On the new zx series amps what does kicker mean here? these are some of the quietest power-producing pieces from the KICKER labs, thanks to balanced differential inputs that help eliminate any four-channel noise. aAre four channel amps more prone to engine noise? The initial kicker shop told me that but they sucked so I wasnt sure to beleive them or not. Would I be able to tell a difference netween the zx and kx series amps? I dont really want to build a new amp rack so Ill probally go with the 350.4
