Ok guys im going to trade DeMarco my mmats d2100.5 for his Kicker KX 2500.1 this amp is stable @ 2 ohms right? anyways is this amp a power hog etc? hows the efficiency? quality? etc. Input from people that had experience with this amp in the past or present will be greatly apreciated. I just whant to know with what type of amp im dealing with since i have only dealt with memphis, mmats, and zapco.

i'd highly recommend keeping the MMATS ...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
yeah but the mmats does 1500 rms @ .5 ohms it does more though cuz its underated, but the kicker could do over 2500 wrms @ 2 ohms and i want more power, but any reasons why you recomend keeping the mmats?

the mmats is cleaner sound and more efficient...a lot better quality
Yes, I have to agree that the mmats by far has the best efficiency out of all the amps i've owned, x2 on the sound quality too, but idk mmmmmhh that kicker is tempting ill see wat i do:crap:

I beg to differ. The KX 2500 is a very solid amp, also efficient. With proper electrical they can do 1 ohm.....mine has, although you wont see much more power out of it.

They will also do more than rated power.

you can't bridge a mono amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
i found some specs and it said this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

1 X 2500 RMS Power (watts/channel) @12.5V, 2 Ohm bridged mono, 0.2% THD

2.5" H X 10" W X 30-9/16" L

Remote Level Control

Built in Fan

Its awesome, very solid, great build quality, very efficient and puts out lots of power. I ran it at 1.4ohm for ~2 months and it did great. 220amp alt, y-top up front, deka in the rear.
