kicker hideaway problem

hey guys, i recently purchased a kicker hideaway to use in my "90 mitsubishi eclipse. We installed it and it worked fine for about a week, then the speaker worked intermittently, then it stopped completely. The blue power light stays on, but the speaker only makes a faint buzzing noise if it even does that. any idea what happened?

You may have been clipping really bad, and the coil separated from the former. Or, maybe you have a tinsel lead loose

Or the issue is the signal cabling into the unit. How did you give it a signal?

rca into head unit. so the problem was in the sub itself?
