Good thing about mainstream is the selection. They have 4ohm, dual 4 ohm and 2 ohm subs so leaves no one out if you want to run a pair.

I was looking at some of the lesser known brands but they don't offer dual 2 ohm so i can run a pair at 2 ohm so i have to go elsewhere.

No I think me means JL and Kicker are built for luxury and the lesser known ones are for going faster, hence they are built for speed.

Dayton? btl? All I'm sayin is that kickers make a good sub despite what people say about sq. True, they are hittin at about 20 to 80hz, (limited range) but they pound. End of story. I got 2 in a civic, and they kill. Had fosgate punch, polk mdx, jl w3 tens..... Never heard some of the lesser heard, but everytime someone is talking about a lesser heard of sub, or the next best thing, their **** blows, or company goes under. Kickers spl is ridiculous

Exactly, JL and Kicker were going to offer a Turbo and NAwwzz option, but the flux capacitor bearings were overheating and shorting out, so they decided to stick to the luxury market.
