kicker haters?

Hear so many people tout jl's w7's. Sure, they are a nice sq sub, but have heard side by side against kickers. They are so LOUD. For $1300, as a jl w7 is, I would think it would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay louder, and not lose in competitions to l7's. I'm not a jl hater by any means. I have c5's in my front doors, but for $600............. I wish i woulda bought some infinity, or fosgates. Opinions?

i have a video uploading for you right now. 2 jl w7s in a custom box on a 1000/1 did well over a 40 under 37 hz.

Sure, I've heard of some of the less known, or less bought mtx, cerwin vega, orion, etc....., but hard to get long term out of some of the lesser known. They are built for speed, but truly, it's all subjective to a certain degree.

Second place in S2 VA this year ran 2 13W7s off two PDX1200s for a nice score of 149.9 at the headrest. ******* box was huge though
