Kicker good?

Now, a friend of mine told me to go with MTX Thunder or JL Audio. Are there subs from those brands at taht price that will sound better? Am i making the right choice at that price range?

depends on what you want from your subs.. if you want great sound quality there are some better choices in the price range but if youre just looking for loud, fairly clean bass than kicker comp vrs are great for how cheap you can find them. ebay link didnt work for me but ive run them before and was happy at the time.

hell, i had some kicker c12's in a prefab kicker ported running off of 300 watts and was pleased. those kicker prefabs do them justice IMO *flame away*
