i have a kicker cvr 12" 4ohm dvc sub rated at 400watts rms. is it ok to wire the sub in parallel to get the 2ohm load into a 2 channel amp that gives 400watts rms at 2ohms each channel but using only one of the channels?
bridged its at 400rms at 4ohms. if i do it bridged id have to wire in series giving 8ohms to the amp so therefore ill only be getting half of power when bridged //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Wrong section brutha. But yes, you can wire the sub @ 2 ohm to one channel. Depending on what amp it is you might even be able to run it at 2 ohm bridged though I doubt it...
