Kicker CVX Break in period

Just installed my Kicker 750.1 and CVX sub, but its not putting out very much bass. I would have to turn the gain all the way up to hear any noticeable bass. Is there a break in period for these subs so they can loosen up?

I should also note, that they can produce alot of bass, but only when the HPF is off. Maybe there are some settings I need to change on the headunit. Anyone have any recommendations on what needs to be changed/set?

Why dont you just leave the HPF off then?

My headunit is a Pioneer 4800. It doesnt have a LPF or a sub volume control. Is there any other way to get bass going to just the sub, without turning off the HPF?

Oh your talking about the HPF on your head unit I get it.
Hmmm I am not really sure maybe someone else will chime in.
Yes. There must be a setting on the headunit which controls subwoofer volume, but im not sure what it is

Yes, Im reading it right now. the thing is, the manual lists options that my headunit dont really have. The book explains how to change the volume of the sub but my headunit has no option to do this.
