I have owned 4 CVRs and they are dependable cheap subs that get loud for the money, but the Type-R is a slightly better product for slightly more $$$.

id say get the r's. CVR's get sloppy and you will get tired of it

I have Two 12" Type-R's, vented at 2.0Cube each chamber tuned at 34hz and they sound amazing. Sound Quality is superb, and loudness is plenty to satisfy anyone. Just make sure they get enough power, and power them with something that will throw out the watts.

i had one 12 inch type r but it was sealed .. never had the chance to port it so i guess thats why i never liked mine
