Tried it on 2 diff amps, same thing.. Tried 2 diff wiring configs.. Same thing, Took it to a pro in town at a local audio shop.. He's convinced its not blown.. As am I because it's so flawless and perfect as far as the cone goes, when applying 9volt to the sub it flexes flawlessly.

However, I still cant figure this out.. Speaker guy said maybe cuz its not in a box.. But I don't think that's it..

Anyways, here's a video.. Let me know if you guys know what my problem is.. And let me know if this video even works! Thank you guys!

Um, how about perfect grounds, grounded RCA outputs on the rear of my Kenwood head unit with signal and power wiring completely separate on opposite sides of the vehicle with high quality shielded RCA's which haven't given me ANY trouble on either of my 2 amps, or the 4 separate subwoofers that I have besides this CVR 15. MAYBE there's something up with the speaker considering its happened on separate AMPs, AFTER a complete precautionary re-wire of the entire vehicle making sure everything is 110%. And I honestly highly doubt freeair is the problem although I may be wrong.

Now how about an educated reply instead of an elitist prickface response by someone that still talks like he plays MMO'S for a living.

Thats the sound of the coil rubbing. The motor or the pole could be shifted. The coils will still read ok when this happens, but you can almost hear each little groove in between the coil windings rubbing. You should not continue to play it or you will damage it even worse. And ignore comments by the dude above, hes kind of an asshat.

I got ya, Figured it was something like that.. I don't plan on playing it at all until it's in 100% working condition.. at which point I actually plan on boxing it and selling it, I bought the speaker for 15$ hoping it would be 100%.

Anyways, how could I go about fixing something like this? If I can get it fixed i'll only have about 25-30$ total invested, not counting what it may cost to re-center a shifter motor or pole.. thanks a lot! I'd google this but I'm getting reembed by my succubus girlfriend.

Do I come off that retarded? Haha.. I was testing the sub long enough to diagnose a blown speaker or symptoms of any other immediate problems considering I bought it from someone hard up after it had sat on a shelf for 5 months before he decided to sell it to me for 16$. LOL.

Im trying to figure out whether or not its fixable or what the exact problem even is for that matter.

Like I said, quick investment attempt on my part in hopes of making about 100$ which will be no problem if I can get this sub bangin in a custom box which won't cost me **** to build.

Once again, thank you very much for the replies.. Im going to test both above mentioned methods as soon as I can, hopefully in the next couple hours.

I dont think its a very easy process, but dont quote me

Ide say call kicker and ask what they would want

or

a sub junky on here, SPLaudio has alot of great feedback from all subs he does, never had personal experience with him
