Kicker compvr 12 sealed box

Right now I have a kicker compvr 12 with a Kenwood 1000w mono amp in a ported box on the back seat of my 98 silverado. I'm tired of it always being in the way and I'm getting kind of older so I don't need as much of a boom as I used to. I decided to build a sealed box for under my seat to give me some extra room. How close can I go to the minimum sealed box volume (1cu ft) without sacrificing SQ? Is this realistic for this sub?

1 cube sealed is pretty small, i think it will still have some good sq though. i had 2 cvr 15s in a small sealed enclosure and it still sounded good.

from past experience,i say shoot for around 1.25 cubes sealed. if by any chance you could squeeze 1.5, that would be sweet.

It can work but it will be less loud and low. Add a lb of polyfill.

Thanks guys. I might be able to squeeze some more vol I'll just have to sacrifice leg room in the back seat.. but hell I don't have to sit back there anyway haha.

Yeah 1.5 sounds about right though it's woofer dependent I think.
