Kicker Comps?

I might be able to get any thing made by kicker for half off from a friend, which spurs an interest for me.

I havent really heard much on kicker components, but i was looking at the kicker ks65.2

I was also looking at Boston Acoustics, Revs, JL, and Diamonds.

should i go with the kickers for half off (hopefully), or should i just spend the extra mile and get any of the other ones.

maybe dont get the kicker comps, and grab a kicker amp instead of the orion 3002 i was planning on?

any suggestions?

i'd spend the extra money and get a good set of components...iv heard some kicker ks6.2's and wasnt that impressed so i'd spend the money now and be happy later

if your friend works at circuit city then he'll get fired. if not then....well, you can get kicker stuff for half price on ebay all day long. the ks compnents are no where near the infinitys for the same price tag, but like /\ said you should just look into a better set. at least rs or ss.

hopefully he doesn't work at CC, or he'd say he 'used' to work for CC...

the KS components do sound amazing. We have alot fo cars here that have them, and they do sound amazingly close to the RS. The RS is the next line up, and the SS is the top lineup.

But I think you'd love the KS....excellent for the money.

Listen to the Kickers if possible, then decide.

I just went today to a local store that I'm probablyyy not going to go to anymore. haha. "deadening doesnt really do anything for your car.." "here.. buy my overpriced speakers."

But i heard the kickers, and they sounded prettyyyy good. But then again, I had nothing to compare them to.

I went downt he road to sound advice and heard some of the higherend focals and polk which sound amazing, but alittle overpriced.

would anyone recommend diamond over kickers for comps? No local store I find carries diamond, so I cant really hear for myself.

I have kicker componets up front and some of there lower end 6/5's in the back...

Btu my componets are amazing.... I love them. Would recomend them up and down!!
