kicker components-help

i have a 2000 s10 with kicker components...the ks6.2....and i have some jbl gto series 4x6s in the dash....

the kicker components handle 75rms i believe and the jbls handle 45rms...

im trying to decide wether to get an amp for just the components or a 4 channel for all/

any suggestions on what amp or any input is appreciated.

Amp the components and just disconnect the dash coaxials. Imaging would be a bit beyond bad with both..

hmm speakers in the dash where are the components located?.....you may want to remove these as they are most likely causing bad imaging effects

the speaker is in the door where the stock was...and the tweeters are in the top corners....

and so i would just have two speakers and 2 tweeters for all of it?

idk much about sq at all...

Lots of people doubt the whole 'single component frontstage only' setup until they actually hear how nice they sound and how loud they get. Just amp the components and see how you like it. Then go from there.

A Kicker ZX200.2 will do fine for that set..

but since the speakers are 4ohm and the amp is 2 wouldnt the amp be putting only 50 to each?

This amp does:

70 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms

100 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms

200 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms Bridged

If you're unsure, you can always get the ZX250.2 or the ZX350.2

but if its putting out 70 per channel that should be good cause they only handle 75rms right?

A 4 channel would be a great idea. It'll allow you to run the comps off 2 channel stereo, and run a small sq sub of the other 2 channels bridged.

well im not really gonna be doing any sq considering i have 2 L7 15s. ha.

but i just want and amp for the components atleast....
