do kicker amps put out less or more than rated power? i have heard both that they are underrated and overrated. which one is it?

They are underrated. They come with a birth certificate showing actual tested power.

2500.1s usually bench between 2700 - 2800 watts.

overrated on price under rated as for specs really good chance it puts out 80-85 watts easily.

I like kicker amps and any that I have owned 4x sx1250 and 2x kx1200 has always put out more than rated, great amps.
