Every sub will bottom out below it's resonant frequency if it's in a box that's not tuned properly for the sub and getting over powered you dummy.

I don't see how me running CVXs has to do with anything. I've owned other Kicker gear in the past and it's always performed exceptionally for me. This tool obviously is overpowering them and then complains when they begin to fail. He fails, as do you.

I don't know why people are so adamant that the L7 sucks. I had one in 4.5 @ 34 on 2k RMS and loved it. It was loud as hell and sounded pretty good. I really think they're a lot better than people say.

I'd say the CVX is a great all around sub. It's got the clarity of a round sub, but the "bump" the L7 can supply. I definitely love my CVXs, for the price I paid, brand new, shipped directly from Kicker. I wish I still had accommodations with them... People hate on them because they're mainstream. They're not expensive online. They're actually pretty competitive from most online dealers.

You're giving them 1000 RMS more than rated. Of course they're going to ****.

always been a fan of kicker just because i've been into car audio for a long time and when i started they were one of the best. Their amps have always been solid IMO although the old ones i believe were way tougher. I currently have a cvx 10" and for what it is it does get loud but it really does not like 1 watt more than rated power it seems. Got real stinky on 700 rms unclipped. For the price though these days I would look elsewhere. I'd love to get a matching 10 but i cant justify paying 140 or 150 for a single 10" cvx when i could get a 12" type r for less.

You either love them or hate them in my case there the shit.I would like to know who all on this forum loves kicker products wether it be there subs amps whatever.
I for one have had lots of different 15's for my car iv had Fosgate, MTX and even Alpine which were good but hands down kicker has them beat in pricing and quality specialy Fosgate because there so exspensive they have good sound quality and so does the alpine

L5's and L7's are not loud. think what you want. i got louder with one solo x then i did with 2 L7's. kicker makes good 2ohm amps but they are over priced. the only sub they have that is decent for spl is the solo x. none of them are good for sp though. i have only ran kicker for the past 5 years
