My F-150.

Might sell my PA3000DB's and just run a single 2500.1 on my HWY

Think it'll hold pretty well with just big three, stock under the hood and a G31 in the back?

I'm thinking it'll drop low 12's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I know it's efficient I'm just not sure how efficient.

I think it's 130 amp. Moo

Saving the $$ on batts I could probably pick up a 250 from Mechman

Once again though, I'm not sure the "bank" would be enough to store the juice I need

hmm... I ran an Orion 2500d at 1 ohm with a redtop, stock alt (~105A), big 3, and a Stinger SP1000. It was good when I was driving around but the lights would dim when I stopped. I wouldn't buy anything extra until I tried it out with what you have.

ive ran kx 2500.1's off a few semi stock electricals and no issues.

ran it at .7ohm dcr with a 90amp alty, red top up front, red top in the back. ussually dropped to low 12v. amp only got really hot after about 30min of straight abuse. it faired much better than other amps i have ran under rated imp for that long. most of them fry by that point. the kx took this abuse for over 6 months with no issues. later sold it and it and to my knowledge still works fine. i purchased the amp as a refurb too....

i currently have another kx now @ 1.4ohm dcr off just a single powermaster d3100 in the trunk and the 120amp alty up front (no front battery with cobalts. stock bat in the trunk but i dont not have it wired to the stereo). i average around mid 12 volts and the amp will get hot to an extent after long periods of abuse, but not hot enough to consider it damaging.

this amp and the a3000db's are the few amps ive used that run as well as they do at 12v for long periods of time full tilt. the kicker 2500's are remarkably efficent which will work to your benifit. what tends to help is only bumping hard when you have your rmp's up to or over 2k. bumping at idle will put more stress on your electrical.

Coming from experience.....you should be fine. ultimately id invest in an HO alty next.

since you have an f-150 there's not as much distance between the front battery and where the amps mount. I think you should get a d3100 for up front and in time get a new alty.

i love my kx 2500.1
