My point remains..Sundowns retail prices are high imo. I know the Kickers may be higher, but we wouldn't even be discussing the pricing on Sundown amps if they were the same price as these kickers is what I'm getting at. Not to take away from Sundown, but the forum hype overpowers pricing when it comes to brands such as Sundown, DC, etc... When less hyped (at least on the forums)mainstream companies have a higher price tag they're automatically criticized. I have used both Sundown and Kicker amps and personally I like them both. If all things were equal, I would probably still take Kicker over Sundown.

I'd tend to agree with you, but the whole point of this thread is that they are not the same, and the Kickers are way expensive. OP never intended to compare brands.

Kickers have been around a while and have gained a name to be able to mark up their prices

The prices will definitely go down after awhile, it's like a new car that hits the market. The newest version is always expensive, but you get a few of them up for sale used, and about 6 months to a year after release, the prices dramatically decrease. I believe that Kicker still makes awesome amps (never used one personally unfortunately), but I would in a heartbeat. Same for Sundown. It all depends on preference.

exactly. Sundown/skar and such can over charge.
