went to Sonic Electro nix today I was blown away how **** expensive these amps are the 1600 is $729 the 1200 is $579 the 800 is $429 and their little 400 watt is over $279

Yeah what is it with all these brands being in Walmart? I think the only manufacture that makes a head unit that isnt in Walmart is Alpine.

Agreed people pay these prices for DC, Rockford and Sundown basically so what's the difference? Kicker makes a very nice amplifier as good as any of its competition but yes prices are rediculous.

Hardly. SAZ-1200D is $400, $180 less than Kicker's 1200.

I'll take Sundown over kicker any day of the week... I don't think kicker amps are bad, but they do not even compare to Sundown IMO

I'd take the kicker over the sundown, based on my experiences.

Saw the new subs too. The CWR (I think) is their upgrade on the CVR and it's rated at 800 rms. And the Comp 10, 12 is rated for 300 and the 15 for 600. Seems like they doubled the rms rating on their subs. Kind of curious. Not enough to drop the money on them though....

Kicker makes great amps. I loved mine.

But yes those prices are crazy...

My point remains..Sundowns retail prices are high imo. I know the Kickers may be higher, but we wouldn't even be discussing the pricing on Sundown amps if they were the same price as these kickers is what I'm getting at. Not to take away from Sundown, but the forum hype overpowers pricing when it comes to brands such as Sundown, DC, etc... When less hyped (at least on the forums)mainstream companies have a higher price tag they're automatically criticized. I have used both Sundown and Kicker amps and personally I like them both. If all things were equal, I would probably still take Kicker over Sundown.
