Kicker 1500.1 trouble

I had a Kicker 1500.1 powering an FI Audio Q12 for about 2 months...one day it just stopped.

I have a dual 1 ohm sub wired to 2 ohms, that's how i was running it to the amp.

I have a stock radio and im running them through the back speakers if that makes any difference.

Anyways, i had the amp right behind my back seat and i had the sub facing forward towards the cab...could that had rattled something loose and caused it to go into protection mode???

I'd like to fix the kicker unless it would just be better to go with something else...any ideas?

check your power and ground connections... check your remote cable and your rca's.

I went over all of the wiring, checked it front to back. i put in a friend's sub in place and it worked so it seems that is working

I figured since i got it "professionally" installed, the wiring wouldnt be an issue...its possible but like i said, i went over each cable and didnt notice anything and my friends amp worked so maybe it was just time for the amp.

I bought the amp certified from kicker about 8 years ago and its been in storage since then...could that possibly be an issue??

wait you put your friends sub on your amp and it worked? or you put your sub on your friends amp and it worked? cuz if you put your friends sub on your amp and it worked it sounds like your sub is either blown or a connection is loose or something

My mistake...i put my friends AMP in place of mine and it ran my sub fine.
